RAD-AID in an international non-profit volunteer-based organization which was established in 2008 with a mission to enhance radiology access and education around the world. RAD AID has programs in over 38 countries serving 85 hospitals and impacting an estimated 189 million patients per year. It has over 85 university-based chapters and UCSF is one of them. The UCSF RAD-AID chapter currently has global Health programs in Ethiopia focused on expanding breast imaging services and training in the country.
