The Opportunity and Outreach Committee of the UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is committed to expanding access to all, creating and sustaining opportunity, and fostering a community that is welcoming and supportive, in alliance with UCSF's Office of Opportunity and Outreach. Together, our mission is to build a broad and diverse faculty, student, trainee, and staff community, engaging diverse ideas for the provision of culturally humble education, discovery, and patient care.
Committee Focus Areas
The UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Opportunity and Outreach Committee applies its efforts as follows:
- Recruitment and retention: Improve recruitment by fostering improved access to mentored clinical experiences.
- Education: Organize education sessions for faculty, staff, and trainees on a variety of topics.
- Research: Design unique research experiences for trainees, giving them exposure to state-of-the-art radiology research facilities and the leading edge of innovation.
- International: Empower learners from nations around the world by leveraging advances in technology.
