The Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics Division of the UCSF Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging offers multiple pathways for the training of outstanding physicians to become leaders in nuclear medicine.

  1. Nuclear Medicine Fellowship
    • 12-month ACGME accredited fellowship
    • Available to those who have completed diagnostic radiology residency
  2. Nuclear Radiology / Diagnostic Radiology 16-month program
    • Sponsored by the American Board of Radiology
    • Enables current UCSF Diagnostic Radiology residents to complete 16 months of nuclear medicine training within their four-year diagnostic radiology program
    • Residents typically enter this pathway during the first or second year of diagnostic radiology training
  3. Nuclear Medicine Residency
