What We Offer
As neuroradiologists we focus on imaging and therapies to diagnose and treat disorders of the adult and pediatric brain, spine, head, neck, and central and peripheral nervous systems.
Patients from around the world seek care from our internationally recognized experts who specialize in the full array of neurologic disease including brain tumors, stroke and other vascular disorders, spine conditions, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, neurodegenerative diseases, pulsatile tinnitus, pain management, and brain malformations.
Education and research are core to our success. We train medical students and work alongside and mentor radiology residents and fellows, many of whom choose to join UCSF as faculty or clinical associates.
Neuroradiology faculty conduct basic and translational research and lead clinical trials in a variety of exciting areas such as metabolic imaging of infection, artificial intelligence, neuropsychiatry, targeted Alzheimer’s therapies, stroke intervention, ADHD and autism, Parkinson’s and MS, epilepsy and seizure disorders, and more.

UCSF Precision Spine and Peripheral Nerve Center
Our neuroradiology experts are using advanced imaging to better diagnose and treat spinal and peripheral nerve disorders and address pain in the legs, back, neck and arms. Minimally-invasive treatments can offer significant pain relief, return of function, and improved quality of life. Doctors in and outside of the bay area frequently refer patients so that we can accurately identify the root causes of pain using imaging and simultaneously treat the pain using image-guided technologies.
