What We Offer

Pediatric Radiology at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital integrates two vibrant clinical sites — Mission Bay and Oakland — offering a pediatric-focused environment that is safe, warm, and welcoming to patients and their families. While each campus has its own unique strengths, culture, and patient population, our teams work in close partnership to provide specialized imaging for infants, children, and pregnant women.

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals have been recognized among the nation's best children's hospitals in all specialty areas. The Oakland and San Francisco hospitals are ranked together as one entity, reflecting the comprehensive system of pediatric care that UCSF Health provides to families and communities in the Bay Area and beyond.

Pioneer Award

The Society for Pediatric Radiology honored Dr. Taylor Chung with the 2025 Pioneer Award by the Society of Pediatric Radiology (SPR) — one of the organization’s highest achievements. This award recognizes his outstanding leadership and long-standing contributions to pediatric cardiovascular imaging. Chung is one of the co-founders and co-directors of the hands-on Basic Cardiac MR Course and Advanced Symposium in Pediatric Cardiovascular Imaging offered by SPR, which educated hundreds of pediatric cardiovascular imagers over the past 20 years.

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland

Featuring radiology and imaging services in a range of pediatric specialty departments and clinics, including the Fetal Treatment Center, diabetes and oncology clinics, and the Center for Sickle Cell Disease. The main hospital includes a pediatric emergency room, Level 1 trauma center, and intensive care unit.

San Francisco's Mission Bay is home to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco and the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, where pediatric clinics focus on dozens of specialties – many at the Ron Conway Family Gateway Medical Building.
