Biopsy procedure training.

The cardiothoracic imaging fellowship is designed for radiologists interested in furthering their knowledge of pulmonary and cardiac radiology. In partnership with our faculty, fellow gain expertise in all aspects of clinical thoracic imaging including MRI (cardiovascular MRI and MRA), coronary CT angiography, chest CT, high-resolution CT, and biopsy techniques.

As a fellow, you’ll gain experience in a diverse array of cardiac and pulmonary imaging. On the cardiac side, you’ll master everything from congenital heart disease to complex cardiomyopathies and viability MRIs. By the end of the year, you will comfortably meet the requirements for coronary CT angiography certification.

Your pulmonary experience is equally robust, ranging from routine outpatient cases to rare interstitial lung diseases (ILD). You aren’t just reading scans in a vacuum; you’ll be an active voice in our weekly multidisciplinary ILD conferences alongside pulmonologists and pathologists. You’ll also lead resident teaching sessions and have the support to pursue clinical or basic research. Ultimately, this fellowship ensures you’re ready to practice thoracic imaging in any clinical environment.
