What We Offer

UCSF cardiothoracic radiologists are known for precise diagnostic imaging interpretation across the full spectrum of heart and lung conditions, including transplant care and infectious disease. We have significant expertise in CT-guided chest procedures such as lung biopsy and pneumothorax.

As members of the UCSF Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence and other specialized programs we collaborate with experts in cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, and surgery. For patients with rare or complex conditions we consult with tumor boards and referring providers to manage care.

Spotlight: Lung Cancer

“As a radiologist and artificial intelligence researcher, we're integrating the patients' first lung cancer screening into risk stratification to answer the question, ‘Should we continue scanning this patient every year?’"
